The villa includes a private garden at the front and back, leading to a shared pool area for residents. Stroll to the local piazza, where you can enjoy sunset views over the lake from restaurants just minutes away. If the required IDs are not submitted prior to check-in, the key code cannot be provided. Villa Calmasino is part of a complex with a shared swimming pool. Calmasino is a quiet town overlooking Lake Garda. There are 3 supermarkets nearby which are all within walking distance, 2 are located in the town square and a larger one 2 streets behind the property. Nearby there are bars, pizzerias and restaurants, all within walking distance. In the center of Affi (10 minutes by car) you will find many shops. The village of Affi, 8 km from the house, has a large supermarket and a shopping center with many shops. On Saturday mornings, there is a market selling fantastic produce. The closest villages on the lake are Lazise and Bardolino; both have a lot to do! In Bardolino there are beaches where you can spend the day and do many water activities. Also, there is a fantastic walk to take from the town of Bardolino to the town of Garda at sunset. If you want to drive up the coast, head to Malcesine where you can take a cable car up to the mountains, the views are breathtaking and you can go hiking, walking and rent bikes. Gardaland, Caneva Aquapark and Parco Natura Viva can be reached in just 13 minutes by car! From July 26th to 30th there is the feast of Sant'Anna, a celebration dedicated to food and dance (just a 2 minute walk from the front door!). A great atmosphere and a wonderful way to fully immerse yourself in the culture of the city. Enjoy your stay, there is a lot to explore everywhere!! Veneto is the northern Italian region where everything is right on your doorstep: sea, plains, lakes, mountains, rivers, valleys, hills, walled towns, and medieval villages, to mention but a few options to discover. From the house, make a leisurely stroll to the piazza with its local bars (try a famous italian expresso and some local delicacies), minimarkets and La Taverna Del Borgo restaurant which I can highly recommend. Hungry for a real italian pizza? I highly recommend Il Caminetto just nearby. On saturday morning, visit the farmers market where you will find the best of what the local producers have to offer. For grocery shopping at a major supermarket or other shops, the nearby town of Affi is just 8km away. The towns on the lake closest to the villa are Lazise and Bardolino and both have lots going on! To the right of Bardolino are the ‘beach fronts’ where you can spend the day, book water activities, etc... An amazing walk to do is from the town of Bardolino to the town of Garda at sunset, which is an highlight of every staycation here. If you want to drive up the coast, head to Malcesine where you can get a cable car right up into the mountains - the view is breathtaking - and you can also walk/hike and rent bikes up there. The water of the lake further north is very clear and ideal for snorkling or diving if you're into it, with needed apparatus locally available for rent. From 26 to 30 July, there is the festival of Santa Anna - a celebration dedicated to food and dance in Calmasino and just a mere 2 minute walk from your doorstep! It boasts a great atmosphere and a wonderful way to fully immerse yourself into the ambiance and culture of the town. Oh, and one more thing...: venture out to savour our famous "gelato" - there are plenty of artisan "gelaterias" to discover in the Veneto region. Lake Garda nearby at 3km Verona City is approx 27km Gardaland and Caneva park is a short 15 min drive Town of Bardolino and Lazise is a scenic 5-10min drive I wish you an unforgetable stay at Villa Calmasino!
